Rejoice Highly Favored Daughter!

Luke 1:28, "The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

Every year, I begin my time with the Lord asking for a word or theme for the year!  It's something fun that I started with God many years ago....and each year, God is faithful to let me see that word that we have thought about together thoughout the year, come to pass!

This year, I want to share my word with you, because I feel like it's not just for me but you too...if you have found yourself reading this!  The word is FAVOR.  There are 3 specific scriptures the Lord impressed upon my heart connected to this word:

1.  Isaiah 61:2 NLT, "He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies."

I stand here as a witness that you stand righteous in God's sight because you have placed Jesus as Lord over all in your life, AND the Lord's FAVOR is upon you!  Yes, you dear daughter of God, are His FAVORite!!

2.  Psalm 5:12 NIV, "Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield."

Favor is not just something that allows the supernatural abundant life to flow from Heaven to you on Earth, but it also serves as a shield of God's protection for you!  Yes, you now have an unfair advantage in the unseen & natural world you live in because you are in Christ!!  What a blessing!

3.  Luke 1:28, "The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

Mary was considered highly favored because she was carrying the Savior of the world...similarly, as you are in Christ, you carry him too and are highly favored!!  Take a moment to let that sink in and put on loud praise before the Lord!  That is worth celebrating!!

Favor...that is just one identitfying trait you have in Christ!!  The theme this year we will focus on each week in our weekly devotions is YOUR identity as God's beloved daughter!!  It's such an important topic that I wrote a book on it!!  Beginning next week we will begin digging into a Word a week to solidify that identity in Christ!  Stay tuned for more this week on how you can order the book and be a part of the powerful mindset shift!!
