John 6:35 says, "Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
Staying satisfied seems to be the age old problem of the human race. We always want more. Bigger and better is our motto. We want something, we get it, and then that's not enough. It happens physically as we eat a meal and then are hungry hours later. It happens in our minds all the time with needing more material things or pleasurable experiences. Never fully satisfied.
What if I told you that amidst all the wanting, you can truly live a life of contentment and feeling fully satisfied all the time? Amazing, right? Sounds like the "get rich quick" scheme or the "magical diet pill."
Jesus tells us that he offers something that never runs out, never spoils, never fades away, and is available to anyone for free. So what is it? It's him. Simply put, Jesus is the bread of life. I know it sounds cliche, but Jesus is the answer. Spending time with him....good quality time is what fills up that empty tank of yours, and keeps it full.
Start out in the morning with whatever you have....whether all you can do is whisper his name, or whether you have a chunk of time to meet with him. It's all about the sincerity of your heart that he longs for, as it's only that kind of heart that can be filled.
I encourage you today, to simply taste, possibly for the first time, the richest of cuisine that your amazing Savior has to offer. It's good, and it will last.
Much love Hidden Truth Sisters,
