Truths to Help Trust God

Truths to Help Trust God

"For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."

Matthew 6:8

Trusting God is an everyday choice.  No one ever said acting in faith was easy, but it is the path that fulfills the desires of your heart and your path to purpose.

Here are 4 truths to help you stay anchored in faith so you can walk trusting the Lord everyday:

Matthew 6:8, "For your Father knows you need before you ask Him."

How comforting to know that even as I pray and tell God my heart's desires, hopes and dreams, and  hurts, worries and fears, He knows.  He knows me intimately because He made me.  He knows what I hope for.  He knows what I have been through.  He knows what will help me in that moment and beyond.  And He knows what the loving and kind thing is to give me versus just the temporary fix.  I can rest knowing that God loves me and is at work for my good as I keep my eyes on Him.

Matthew 6:26, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reep or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Ae you not much more valuable than they?"

I am more valuable than all other creatures on this earth as I am made in God's image.  If God takes care of them, how much more will he take care of me!  I don't have to worry, just look to God to provide what I need.

Matthew 7:3, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

Don't judge others or compare myself to them.  Focusing on others, their faults and mistakes, and what they have that I want completely robs me of my joy.  Remember, I am on my own path with God...it looks totally different than anyone else.  Just focus on me and God and avoid the pitfall of looking at others!

Matthew 7:11, "how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"

God is a good Father and gives only good gifts to His children that ask.  If I am in need, ask my heavenly Daddy.  Trust that He hears me and will give me what I ask in His perfect way and timing that will bless me and those around me.  I can rest in this truth.

For more encouragement, read the whole passages of Matthew 6-7 and be empowered by Jesus' words of love, peace and wisdom!  He's a good friend and Savior and will meet you right where you need him!

XO,

Ashley
